To All Students
President Hiroyuki Sakuragi
Osaka Metropolitan University College of Technology
Principal Seiji Akita
We would like to offer our sincere apologies for the significant disruption to classes, academic activities, and student life caused by the large-scale system failure that occurred on October 2.
We understand that this sudden outage has caused considerable anxiety and confusion regarding the status of classes and the impact on your future studies. We would like to express our deep gratitude for your understanding and cooperation during this time.
Since the outage, both Osaka Metropolitan University and the College of Technology have been working to identify the cause and restore the system. At the same time, to ensure the continuation of educational activities, we have made securing learning opportunities for our students the top priority.
Although some system limitations remain, our faculty and staff have been working to secure alternative methods for classes and ensure as little disruption as possible in the educational environment. As a result, classes at the College of Technology have continued even after the outage, and classes resumed on October 9 at OMU.
We will continue to do our utmost to restore the system to ensure that everyone can study in a secure educational environment as soon as possible.
We understand that this situation will continue to cause inconvenience, but we are working to restore the system and prevent recurrence. We ask for your continued understanding and cooperation.
